GPS Circles of Connection 

Join GPS Circles of Connection, a self-paced facilitator training grounded in the GPS model and designed especially for members of the Jewish community. Participants will learn practical skills and experience a support group to lead structured peer support circles that build emotional safety, connection, and community resilience, using examples steeped in Jewish-context and lived experience. This course is appropriate for both new and experienced group leaders.

GPS Circles of Connection for the Jewish Community Facilitator Training strengthens our communal capacity to support one another during these challenging times of heightened stress, trauma, polarization and rising antisemitism, and equips individuals to lead trauma-informed, evidence-based support circles within the Jewish community bringing people together to share their feelings, thoughts and connect across diverse perspectives.

By participating in this training, you’ll learn how to lead GPS Circles and bring this impactful program to your community. Together, we can foster connection, understanding, and resilience within the Jewish community.

In This Training You Will Learn:

A structured, trauma-informed support group model that is straightforward to implement across settings and populations. The training focuses on core facilitation skills, emotional safety, and responsible adaptation.

Topics include:

  • Facilitating trauma-informed, culturally responsive groups adaptable to many settings and populations

  • Navigating trauma, systemic differences, and identity-related challenges with skill and care

  • Using evidence-informed techniques from CBT, Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction

  • Creating strengths-based group experiences that build resilience and growth

  • Strengthening group leadership and confidence to lead impactful groups
